14424-r.pct F-16A FIGHTING FALCON This little ship was the winner of a stiff competition with the Northrop F-17 for a lightweight fighter (LWF). The purpose of the competition was to design a less complex combat plane than the larger types then in service, such as the Phantom and Eagle. The choice proved sound and the little F-16 has become one of the most widely used fighters in the world. This model has two wingtip mounted AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and three long range fuel tanks. Markings are for an F-16A operating from Hill Air Force Base, Idaho. #14424 -1/144 Scale $9.99

14425.pct FRS-1 SEA HARRIER One of the most unique fighter planes ever designed, the Harrier is the first successful vertical take off (VTO) fighter, and the first to be used in combat. 14416.pct A6M2 ZERO-SEN The Zero was Japan’s most famous fighter in the Second World War. Its existence came as total surprise to the Allies, and its performance was superior to most fighters then in use. This model carries the markings of Petty Officer Tadayoshi Koga, who had the dubious honor of presenting his nearly intact Zero to the American forces in the Aleutian Islands. To his misfortune, he mistook a marshy bog for a landing field and flipped his plane onto its back. #14416 -1/144 Scale  $8.99
14419.pct F-4E PHANTOM II Although the Phantom II was originally designed as carrier fighter for the Navy, its performance was so outstanding it was also ordered by the Air Force. Unlike the missile armed Navy planes, the F-4E also carried a nose mounted 20mm cannon. This model has the cannon, four AIM-7 Sparrow and for AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and a pair of under wing drop tanks. #14419 -1/144 Scale $8.99
14420.pct F-111E “AARDVARK” The ungainly name of this plane comes from the appearance of its long nose. And, although the appellation “Switch Blade” is often used, the F-111 did not have an official name. The plane was developed under a great deal of controversy as the TFX, or Tactical Fighter, Experimental. The original concept was to design a plane that could be used by the Air Force from land and Navy from carriers. The Navy version failed to achieve its goals, but the Air Force F-111 eventually became a very efficient weapon. #14420 -1/144 Scale   $9.99
14421.pct F-15A EAGLE The Eagle was developed as a replacement for the aging Phantom II. To prove it was a worthy successor, the Eagle set several records, including the fastest time to climb to altitude. This model carries a full set of missiles, which includes four AIM-9 Sidewinders and Four AIM-7 Sparrows, in addition to the centerline tanks. The high visibility bubble canopy is clear and the decal provides the USAF Tactical Air Command insignia and colorful squadron markings. #14421 -1/144 Scale $9.99
14422.pct F-14A TOMCAT The Tomcat was the first successful swing-wing Navy fighter. This plane proved so versatile it served as the backbone of the U.S. Navy’s fighter/interceptor fleet for more nearly four decades. It was the victor in the first ever combat between swing-wing jet fighters. Our kit has the movable wings which made the Tomcat so formidable, two Phoenix missiles, clear cockpit canopy and markings from VF-14 Top Hatters squadron.#14422 -1/144 Scale $9.99
14423.pct MIRAGE F-1C The French Mirage F-1C is advancement on the original delta Mirage III, although it is more conventional in configuration. This model depicts the plane in l'Armee de l'Air markings and it can be loaded with two AS.39 Exocet anti-shipping missiles, two R.550 Magic air to air missiles, two Sneb rocket pods plus a centerline fuel tank. The canopy is clear and the plane has well-detailed landing gear. #14423 -1/144 Scale $9.99
